Letters

Dear students of IU Bloomington,
When I rode my bike to Ballantine Hall this morning and realized that I had forgotten my bike lock, and only had 1 minute until class started, I was very hesitant to trust you. However, I had no choice but to wedge my beautiful bicycle in with the menagerie of others on the bike rack, and just make it appear like it was locked up. Because you have been known to do stupid things to bikes in the past (steal seats, frames, wheels, throw bikes in trees, etc), I was nervous all throughout Spanish. However, when I came back to the bike rack and saw my glorious Trek 1000 still sitting there amongst the sea of bikes, my faith for humanity (and moreso, the students of IUB) increased ever so slightly. Thanks for not stealing my pretty bike.
Your pal (unless you suck),
Anna

Dear bike,
Thanks for being so pretty. Also, thanks for getting me to class every day. I hope we can be friends forever.
Your biggest fan,
Anna

Dear Word Wars and Schlock,
I can't wait to watch you.

Dear world wide web,
Thanks for the following links:
-A couple of idiots discuss complex subjects
-Ohhhh man, I could look at this site all day.
-Huh?
-Every reference ever made to a monkey on the Simpsons
-I didn't think this would happen while W was still in office
-Everything that could go wrong
Your buddy,
Anna

You got lucky, and I wouldn't push it. I've known people in Bloomington that have had bikes stolen from their porches, people who have bikes stolen from the bike racks at Collins, and bikes stolen from inside the foyers of apartment buildings. I repeat: you got lucky.

I know two people who used to troll campus wearing Wayne and Garth wigs stealing bikes.

No really, I'm not kidding.
