Wow, good times. Things have been going really well lately.
First off, I'd like to share my final project for Men's Health. We had to do a Public Service Announcement. One of the lectures in the class was entitled "The Problem Penis," so I decided to write a song and put it to pictures. Enjoy! (To play this, you need Quicktime).
I can't believe the end of the school year is so close. I'm thoroughly enjoying my free time now that I don't have to go to 5 million meetings per week. I really need to get rid of as much stuff as possible in my apartment, because I'll be subleasing a friend's apartment from May 7th until June 17th, then moving into my own apartment on June 17th (and then flying to China on June 18th). Also, I won't have TV when I'm subleasing an apartment, so I'd appreciate any recommendations for TV shows on DVD I could rent (already on the list: Nip/Tuck, Grey's Anatomy, Desperate Housewives... I know, lame).
I got tickets to see a Cubs-Cards game at Wrigley Field at the end of July so that I can visit my buddies up in Chicago and get a chance to see the Cards play. Trying to get tickets is ridiculous. Busch Stadium is completely sold out for the season, and Wrigley Field was already sold out for the Cubs-Cards series. I had to order over-priced tickets on ebay. But they will be well worth the money, undoubtedly.

I'm speechless. Wow.
Speechless because you're so filled with happiness and awe?
Bonita, the answer goes back to another name of mine: Jack Flannel. I'm not sure where the name Jack Flannel came from (though I'm sure it came to me in a psychedelic haze and had something to do with my love of flannel back in the late 80s and early 90s and nothing to do with grunge or Kurt Cobain and his ilk), but it's the name I use to refer to my alter-ego, the one who writes and records music. At one point, I was working on a side project (with a band called 10Forward), and, for some reason, I wanted to differentiate my work with that band from my solo work. So, I went with a Spanish version of Jack Flannel, aka Don Juan Franela, which is sometimes shortened to Juan Franela.
I now use the name Juan Franela to refer to the Jack Flannel persona that plays shows (but still release my recorded works under the moniker Jack Flannel).
I do have a blog, but it's password protected as I like to rant about my bosses and such. Access is granted by request. You can email me at lordmasterspud@hotmail.com.
It was a pleasure to meet you and Jim.
