OHHHHHHHHHH that makes me happy.
I got 2 voicemails last night:
From Jim: GO CARDS! Drink a beer for your dad! Okay... bye.
From Adam: St. Louis Cardinals. World Series Champions. Something unexpected... about 2 months ago, zero - ZERO - percent of the world expected the St. Louis Cardinals to win the World Series. 1 month ago, the only state that voted in the ESPN nationwide poll that St. Louis would win the World Series was Missouri. 1 out of 50 states voted for st. louis, and NOW we are champions. First time since 1982... 24 years. I was... I was lucky enough to be barely alive the first time. You weren't... and uh, and now all that doesn't matter, because we were BOTH alive for the SEASON OF 2006... A great, GRAND, GLORIOUS season when the St. Louis Cardinals became the world champions.
I'm not exactly sure how to feel right now or what to say, because I've never been through this before, and neither have you. So uh, call me, and let me know how you're doin. Just wanted to make sure you're alright, and uh, Go Cardinals... the greatest team in the history of baseball in my opinion. You know, the Yankees have what, 27 world series wins or some bullshit like that? Cardinals have 10, and that's the 2nd most in the history of baseball, and there's somethin to be said for that. So uh, give me a call when you get a chance, and we'll talk about stuff. Until then, have a great time celebrating. Stay Classy.
