Website Wednesday - PHREEQUESHOW!

Last night, my buddy Asa and I were discussing what we like to look up on the intarwebz when we're bored (but not at work, of course, because that would just not be productive, and neither of us are getting paid to sit at our computer and look things up on Wikipedia). Asa told me that he likes to Google various locations, and look at pictures of them. I then confessed to Asa my favorite thing to look up online: medical anomalies and congenital defects. I feel absolutely ridiculous, since I get excitement and entertainment out of other people's deformities. But not ridiculous enough to stop!

So, for this beautiful Website Wednesday, I bring you: PHREEQUESHOW!

This site, developed by Elizabeth Anderson, is a huge gallery of people with medical anomalies who were in freak shows. The people are grouped by type of defect, such as the armless, the legless and limbless, extra parts, and facial deformities. Anderson has photographs and posters for each person-- quite an impressive collection, I might add. The technical aspects of the website itself aren't all that impressive, but were easily overlooked because of the amazing content.

I hope you are content with Website Wednesday! Sorry if you think less of me. But not that sorry.
