Since I'm so adorable, my favorite member of the Collins LLC custodial staff gave me some chocolate and a Tootsie Roll Pop (TRP from now on, because typing out "Tootsie Roll Pop" is just so difficult). To my delight, the TRP wrapper had an Indian (Native American? Original inhabitants of this land who were unfairly displaced by white dudes with guns?) with a bow and arrow, shooting a star. See?

When I was little, my friends and I used to get excited to see this on our TRP wrappers, because it meant that we got a free TRP, or if we saved enough wrappers, we got a free box of TRPs... or something along those lines. You see, I don't know exactly what the symbol means, because I didn't know anyone who actually claimed their prize(s). I even remember saving a huge stack of TRP wrappers with star-shooting Injuns, but I don't think they ever got past my sock drawer.
So my question is - Have any of my faithful readers ever reaped the benefits of these super special TRP wrappers?
After typing that question, I did some Googling, and found out that this rumor is, indeed, an
urban legend. There are a lot of web pages that address the issue, though. Wow, what a disappointment. Although I suppose I would have been even more disappointed has I found out that I could have redeemed my dozens of TRP wrappers for more TRPs!
