On Sunday when I got out of work, I walked to my car in the main library's parking lot, and it was completely dead. So, since I don't have jumper cables (and none of my friends do, except for Amy, who was busy), I called AAA Roadside Assistance. They said that the time estimate for help was under an hour. So, after about an hour and 10 minutes, I called AAA back and asked when they were gonna get to my sexy, broken car. They said a tow-truck driver had been contacted, but they had no time estimate. Since it was pouring down rain, and getting late, I just told them to forget about it.
Soooooo, last night after work, Amy tried to jump my car (after pushing it to a new parking spot). The lights and windshield wipers came back on, but the engine wouldn't turn over, and the check engine light came on, leading us to think that it was a problem with something besides the battery. I called AAA again, and a tow truck came in about 45 minutes. He tried to jump start the car, and it worked. Amy and I were confused (nothing new there). But we were full of Taco Bell and thoughts about midget reality TV, so everything ended up alright.
Anyhoo, Bonny and Jim Saraceno came in town last weekend for Lotus Fest. All of the music rocked my socks off. You know who else rocks my socks off?

That's right.
Matt and elephants.
Anyway, I will soon have pictures from this past weekend. But in the mean time, check out my band, The Wina-Freds!
